Composer, multi-instrumentalist, and interdisciplinary artist, Alicia Lázaro’s music inhabits a dream-like realm, exploring the emotional connection between sound, space, and imagery. Drawing from piano, voice, and electronics, she shapes sonic worlds that feel both intimate and expansive, where classical, jazz, and contemporary influences converge with ethereal textures and suggestive cinematic atmospheres.
Inspired in ancient tales and oral traditions, her work understands sound as a means of opening spaces beyond the ordinary, where sound, light, and poetry blend.
Her work has been presented internationally, including at the National Music Hall in Taipei and the Auditorio 400 at Museo Nacional Reina Sofía (Madrid).
On account of her unique way of connecting music and innovative technologies, she has been selected for the APE Camp 2025 (Korea), the Residency for Innovators in Art in Visual Arena (Gothenburg, 2024), iM KONSTHALL (NSF, 2023), La Wayaka Current (Chile, 2023) and the XR Narrative Lab (Gothenburg, 2022).
Rooted in a deep sensitivity to narrative, time, and place, Alicia’s compositions are spells, prayers, and stories—born from moonlight, hope, heartbreak, and the rhythms of the natural world. She invites the listener not merely to hear but to enter, cross the door, and imagine.
